FECTU Webinar with Sofia Ramos: Draft horse common problems
Sofia performed several externships abroad (UK, USA, Belgium) before qualifing from UTAD, Portugal in 2013. After one year working in a mix practice (2014-2015) she did an internship in equine medicine and surgery in Belgium (DeMorette). Straight afterwards the internship she moved to the University of Pretoria as equine surgery assistant. In 2017 she moved back to her homeland and developed research in equine orthopedic disease as main focus of her PhD with emphasis in the Lusitano horse at the University of Évora, Portugal. In 2019 Sofia joined the University of Liège as equine surgery assistant and in 2020 she started her residency. Currently she is working towards her ECVS diploma.
